We at TWC invite you to join us in recognizing the emancipation of Black Americans
from slavery by contributing to causes for racial justice within the Richmond community.
Today, we highlight:
Coming Together Virginia: CT-VA is a Richmond-based nonprofit focused on racial justice education. Through educational events which facilitate constructive dialogue, and the organization of community actions, CT-VA seeks to demystify systemic racism and put the tools of collective healing and change into the hands of everyone.
Showing Up for Racial Justice (Richmond chapter): SURJ is a national network of groups organizing White communities for racial justice actions and education. The Richmond chapter is still growing and is actively seeking volunteers and organizers.
Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities (RISC): RISC is a direct-action justice ministry organization, focused on the accountability of local leadership, housing justice and poverty welfare. They are a grassroots affiliate of the DART Network.
These are just a few of the incredible groups serving our community in the cause of racial equality.
